Fall and Halloween

Diana is our goofy girl! She loves to show off , especially if she knows somebody is watching!

Our library sponsored an event for children to learn about and hold a few monkeys.  The girls loved it!
We've only got about a bazillion leaves to rake every year and Joey has a few helpers this year:)  The girls love to do pretty much anything that Joey is doing especially if it is outside!

Violets first time jumping in a pile of leaves:)

So for Halloween we had two CareBears and one ladybug.  Diana LOVED LOVED having her face painted and dressing up... and again having her picture taken.  Marcy is rather obsessed with CareBears at the moment so when we found out we could borrow a costume she was excited!  She also loves pretend makeup so when she got the chance to have real make up she thought she was pretty cool.  Violet didn't have an opinion on the matter but we thought she was pretty cute:)

It was a VERY soggy day so we only did a few houses but both girls were very excited to go up to each house and get their treats.  Diana was pretty cute: she would just mumble "dan dou" (thankyou) under her breath and she climbed the steps to the houses but not actually say it to the homeowner.

It is really hard to get a good picture of all three girls!  But look at the below picture and you can see a smirk on Violet's face.
Diana is actually saying "Cheeeeese" in the bottom picture despite it looking like she's yelling.

Life with 3

This was Diana's first time holding the baby.  It was pretty sweet how excited she was!  Diana has had a rough time adjusting to Violet but I think we've reached a status quo, finally!  She has begun to try helping me with burping the baby or getting the baby her plug when she's upset so I think Diana might even be starting to like Violet:)
Opa had a blackout day at school-it didn't scare the baby but it sure made me do a double-take!

It was pretty great that Aunt Katie and Uncle Karl could come up for a visit!
Grandpa and Nelda and Kay meeting Violet for the first time

The girls love to "help" me on laundry days

She's arrived!

Welcome to the family Violet Marjorie Walcott.  She was born two weeks ago today on October 8 at 12:15 pm after a fairly quick labor.  She was our biggest baby at 7 lbs 3 oz and 20 in long.

Lookit all that hair!

First bath.  It really looks like she cries alot :)

Diana wants to attack the baby :)

Marcy was SOOOOO excited to hold the new baby!

Lady Di is 1 !!!!!!

It's hard to believe we're already at birthday time but this time has come:)  Our little Diana turned one on March 14.  Her one year well check revealed the following:  She is in the 60th % for weight and the 70th % for height and is mostly healthy as a horse (?). We are going in for a consult to ENT for her frequent ear infections to see what the next steps should be. She is finally walking and is quite proud of herself! In fact, she pretty much thinks that she owns the place:) Thankfully we have Marcy who is quite willing to put her in her place! In the learning to walk process Diana has given herself a black eye and has also put her bottom teeth through her bottom lip but she has conquered the task:)

We took the girls to an indoor play area on Diana's birthday.  We never stop trying to get them to sit nicely together for a picture.  Below is one of the most successful ever!  Most of the time Marcy strangles Diana while trying to get her to hold still and then tears and yelling come from everyone:)  Happy Birthday Diana!
Tessa Mae joined us to play and both little girls had a blast!!

I made her a rainbow cake with rainbow frosting.
Birthday buddies Karolyn and Diana blew out candles together-we had a joint 30th/1st celebration!
Oma letting Diana enjoy her rainbow cake!
She really got into her gift opening and loved ripping the paper!  Oh and this picture really makes me think that she looks almost like a baby because of her oh-so-bald head:)  We haven't had a whole lot of development in the hair department so I think bows are a LONG ways off!
Marcy didn't love letting Diana open all the gifts:)
